Ayurveda & Spring

The core concepts of the wisdom traditions of self-healing are found in the ‘Science of Life, known as Ayurveda.

Clearing the Lense of the Mind with Yoga Practices & Ayurvedic principles

Ayurveda science works on the root of the matter with physical daily routines to develop prana, out from our energetic life-force. Prana energy, correctly initiated, can then be collected to support this distribution of (tejas) prana/chi to all our bodily systems; physical, energetic, emotional, mental & the spiritual body.

Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga & meditation & works with our doshas to balance our digestion, to understand how we metabolize our lives through agni. Understanding our ability to nourish ourselves (ojas) .

Eclipses ~ The Cosmos

Checking in this month with the Planetary or Macrocosmic influences ~ especially this coming week, we will experience a lunar eclipse on 18th/19th November at  1:02 am E.S.T.; Click the link.  https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/lunar/2021-november-19

Two weeks later, a solar eclipse will present (they come in pairs); on the 4th Dec 2021. However, we will not be privy to view it given our position on the planet.

Our full moon in Taurus will enlighten the sky within the lunar mansion or ‘Nakshatra’ called Krittika & the moon aka Chandra’s full brilliance will shine November 19th @ 3:58am EST.

Then… we have another anticipated Jyotish (Vedic Astrology) formation known as a Kala Sarpa, which I have posted info prior.  It may add to the already strong energies based on the astrologically predicted forces we have already been dealing with these past 18+ months.  The 2-week eclipse window will arouse a ‘spin’ from the prankish characters known as Ketu & Rahi – nodes of the Moon.

It is considered – somewhat related that eclipses have the potential for creating disruptive energies, which can eventually lead us to re-evaluate the situation & ground us with positive change. The question offered here is: “what can we draw from life’s lessons?”

So in the astronomical sense, for this period, it is advised to lay-low & preserve your energy on these days. As you do or possibly can, stay below the radar, observe & witness what feelings, passions or emotions & if any unexpected (local &/or global) events roll out.

These times have been arduous, demanding & downright difficult for many who are navigating this global ‘pandemic’.

These lunar nodes (Rahu & Ketu) can play games with us in a shadowy way – creating a kind of disillusionment while trying to prevent us from enjoying the play or ‘Lila(Sanskrit) of life. It is suggested that we relax & lifting the veil to clear vision or clean our windows from the smoke, as it is important to truly see reality.

So you can investigate your shadow side(s), the parts of your life you hide & then make time to dance between the shadows (karma) towards guiding more light on your soul’s purpose (dharma).

Nodes of the Moon in Jyotisha astrology

Take these hints, clues or instincts with pinch of salt; of course I’m only a guide…. See how you feel but be ready for it to rain or pour.

I know I will be preparing some downtime while the shadowy celestial influences continue to censure the coming season.

Home at the Heart

Meditation eases tension

Creating a sense of ‘Home’ – this is the theme for our Full Moon.  Our own bodies, like a home, are where our inner desire for nourishment and truth is found. During this period take time to pause and feel if you are nourished. Feeling at ease can be a simple exercise & something that can only arise when we sit quietly – in silence.

One practice, to connect with how you are truly feeling is to close our eyes & ask yourself. “What am I feeling right now? Can I be at ease with it?”  Sit there & try it. Breathe & wait for the answer, without resisting & allow yourself to invite inner stillness. Return ‘home’ to yourself, again & again is what we all we need to exercise. So, why not dive into the heart of the matter & take in some divine lunar (feminine) energy to *Love Yourself *unconditionally.

At home, where the heart is.
Home is where we begin…inner awareness.

Some of the world’s heaviness of the gloom & doom seem to be influencing those who may be weaker with undue pressure. This is an inward calling to our embrace our Sanctuary – our bodies are living temples, actual shrines & a safe haven to explore without judgement and with much compassion.

It is temporary indeed.

Sure there is always work to be done, we also need to take time to snuggle up cozy up to this life. Enjoying simple pleasures like reading a good book, taking a warm bath, listening to soothing music, or drinking a warm glass of milk is available.

You can even nurture your being with a good hug, as this reduces stress, in many ways. Why not stretch out our arms & hug someone near you or your pet?  One yoga exercise I enjoy is to open wide your both arms, and lift the heart, then embrace by giving myself a hug. Try it for 20 seconds & see how you feel for you? This also nurtures the Hridaya or Spiritual Heart in the anahata – heart region.  We often yearn to help or heal…so if you need support just reach out & ask, be open also to receive support.

Let not your heart’s be troubled”, Jesus taught (John 14). This I understand as teaching us today that we are not to be troubled by anxiety, worry & fear when there is peace (Shanti) for all who seek it, because this too will pass.

Let this bright moon illuminate the spark of life in you, like the love a mother knows all so well. Namaste.

Shaluha-Ka A Personal Healing Ceremony

Healing with Shaluha Ka

Essentially all healing modalities are a correspondence between the receiver (client) and practitioner (giver). In order to receive any healing benefits from the therapy the client needs to permit the practitioner to support them in their self-healing process.

Shaluha -Ka in an ancient Egyptian healing modality that was channelled in the 1990’s to the foundress of Las Piramides del Ka in Guatemala. Traditionally apprenticed at this remote centre as a shamanic therapists, initiated practitioners, like myself, live there and connect with the Kabbalah, tree of life. The Kabbalah Tradition is an ancient wisdom explaining the creation of the world and 10 centres or spheres related to it. Whenever these energies are out of balance it upsets the essential serenity and can establish a lack of cohesion in our lives, Shaluha-Ka therefore recharges you, as you dissolve into a meditative state.

Shaluha-Ka = “Messages from spirit”. By calling on the clients spirit – the shamanic Advisor/Consultant becomes dedicated to healing, divining – work together to help the client experience deeper levels of conscious recognition and understanding of him/herself – in relation to the universe as well as to support the healing process. The treatment helps to balance, restore, relax and energize the body soul and mind for clarity.

Shaluha-Ka ceremony was said to assist with a variety of conditions and obtaining better clarity of one’s life purpose and where they need to be. All it takes is an open mind in the willingness to let the energy flow and let it take you where it needs to go for that particular session.

The treatment is a unique one, which can open the pathway to greater expansion of the mind and our spirituality creating a better sense of well-being, enlightenment, better clarity and focus of where you need to be for your life’s path.

By using a variety of therapies, including gentle massage, still-point induction, reflexology, crystals, aura cleansing and energy channeling the body is able to relax and creates a spacial sense of consciousness ,while the practitioner is able to help the client achieve the desired if fact.

The effect of practitioner and client working together helps the client experience a deeper level of awareness and understanding of themselves in the universe as well as support the healing process. The treatment restores balance to the body-soul and mind connection for greater clarity and intuition.

This form of therapy is unique, as one can open the pathway to greater expansion of the mind & our spirituality. The communication with spirit, prayer in the shamanic manner – creates the portal and potential transmission of the Message from the Spirit!

This healing starts with a brief medical history interview to find out what the symptoms, sensitivities, or treatment the client is/has undergone .

Then as the practitioner, I prepare myself, by silently observation of the client in a meditative state, by asking the guides and the patient’s allies to help them see what is needed in the healing. You will be asked to set an intention and then we will connect with the metaphysical and biological Tree of Life energy centres through the flow of massage & pressure points. The clearing , purification and protection of the energy within your self is held with sacred regard.

Depending on the information received the various approaches to the hands on modalities may be adjusted, as most problems come from dammed up flows of energy. Therefore the most common approach is restore circulation and movement of energy in the body. As practitioner, we become the conduit only, using the phases of the sessions, while working with the 4 elements (earth, wind, air, fire) .

This 90 minute or 120 minute session is where we will work together in your personal healing journey. Cost from: $90-105

Renewal, Goals & Fulfillment to Gratitude

The World 2021
What is your point of view?

Ah yes, the New Year – 2021 bringing some of us more time to reflect on having a ‘new’ outlook, then we imagined. It’s a time of year when some of us decide to set goals, or not?

Most winters, the months of January, February & March can provide excellent opportunities to cultivate stability & strength, for the health of our bodies & life.

In the system of yoga, we instruct our students to set a Sankalpa, for the practice. The Sanskrit word ‘Sankalp’ has been interpreted to mean “resolution” or “intention”. According to Swami Satyananda Saraswati, “sankalpa has the potential to release tremendous power by clearly defining & focusing on a chosen goal.”  The aim of Sankalpa is to set a heartfelt desire or intention from our innermost sincere resource.

Goals defined are: “the result or achievement toward which effort is directed…”

Although we aim to set our personal goals & with some effort can often be achieved – then what do we do?  In fact, too much effort does not create much balance at all!

Now, let’s reflect on the idea of seeking fulfillment instead, as a sense of renewal.   The state of the of fulfilling: “is to witness the fulfillment of a dream: to achieve fulfillment of one’s hopes; realization; completion. This is more in line with the explanation of a Sankalpa.

Making change can be easier once you learn to tap into your inner resources.  The journey to inner peace is inherently in you. All you need to know is you are already equipped with all the tools to reduce your stress … simply Let go & just Be. The results? Letting go helps to reduce anxiety & depression; creates a deeper sense of calm & relaxation. Being fulfilled increases positive emotions, toward a brighter outlook, per se. Fulfillment is said to stall aging, while increasing our creativity, and inspiring us to deepen our spiritual connection, of whom we truly are.

Renewal

The other side of the coin is to make no resolutions at all and to leave 2020 behind expressing empathy for yourself with deeper breaths several times a day & 5-20 minutes of silence, in recognition of all the efforts you’ve made last year.

The residue of this practice is healing to every system in your body.  Remember, language is our medicine, so choose your self talk with care and consideration.

Gratitude is not just a polite ‘thank you’. Gratitude is the thread (sutra) in the tapestry of life, connecting us deeply in relationship with all beings. Simultaneously, it nourishes a spark of hope within the physical & spiritual body.

Bring forth love Unity

In addition, gratitude creates a sense of belonging, as vital food for the soul. Gratitude produces a sense of abundance, knowing you are sufficiently supplied for. Taking only what we need – “less is more” & imparting to others, as giver, sincerely & generously in our giving.

Gratitude is like a boomerang, a kind of renewable currency or an economic gift to the world that comes back to you (karma). Once we launch out, the generosity has a wonderful way of multiplying with each exchange, whether material, in thought or in action. The energy of this exchange becomes robust passing from hand to hand & heart to heart.

Our ‘GIFT’ to the world – as member, makes us accountable to each other, happy & fulfilled. Realizing your contribution is a gift changes your relationship to the karmic cosmos, in a mysterious manner.

As a result we are all responsible for our contributions, as our gratitude has a considerable impact in the world. Just the act of gratitude & understanding fulfillment will likely steer you toward taking better care of the ‘gift’.  Rather than hording our assets, realize we are all stitched into the same tapestry of this world & its relationship to it.

There is power in ‘gift-thinking’ as well. During my day, I often forward love, healing and prosperity to all businesses & everyone I plan to encounter. Imagine if we acknowledged everything we consumes as the gift of Mother Earth? Wouldn’t we would take better care of what we are given. Mistreating any gift has both emotional & moralistic ripple / vibrations or weight to it.

We must lighten the load to keep us alive in our ‘economic relationships and not just those of goods & services. Our ‘systems of market economies’ are hardly good models of equilibrium. Anthropologists observed many past cultures, with different viewpoints on “how we provide for ourselves,” including gift economies.

Truth is, gift economies originate from the abundant gifts of the Earth, which are not owned and must be shared. Sharing generates goodwill and bonds to ensure an invitation to the feast when your neighbor is fortunate. The word reciprocate comes to mind….

Be Satisfied Until All Are United as One

These are critical times for the entire planet. The world, country & group situation is deemed very critical, demanding & fragile yes?

Facing up to the situation, there is no use being satisfied until there is real unity and understanding between all of you. I say, we should all be ‘Warriors of Small Things’ – authentic in everything we do in life. This warrior practice can help to see the extraordinary in the ordinary. This ties into the idea of the yogic philosophy called Bramacharya: moderation. With it we can grow in our discipline…. our self-study, and what it means to surrender as a peaceful warrior.

LIGHT OVER DARKNESS

Maha Lakshmi

Diwali is the Eastern celebration of Light to overcome darkness and to draw an increase of positive, life-supporting forces into our lives.

In the Spirit of this world renowned celebration, you are invited to light a candle or ghee lamp tonight or to leave a light on overnight, as we enter this New Moon.

By drawing in the Light, we honour the auspiciousness of the celebration, as well at inviting abundance, wellbeing & prosperity. Noting: all these are qualities from Lakshmi’s mantra SHRIM  – as one teacher has stated: “it is advised to your light candles, buy new clothes (fun), bring your offerings to Maha Lakshmi (flowers, pomegranates) eat sweets & affectionately enjoy the sweetness of an abundant life.”

In Eastern astrology, the scope of this New Moon weekend is in the lunar (Nakshatra) constellation of Vishaka, “a powerful agent of change, as an archway ”. “Vishaka is related to Shakti, a cosmic energetic principle. Know this – the lunar mansion can cause a jolt to any stagnant situation. This “shock” works to provoke a transformation.” ~P.A.

Ride the waves Yogins

Without a doubt…, and more than ever ~ what the world needs now ~ is as much luminosity & sparkle /Chamak it can rally, as we close 2020.

Remember, we now have less than 40 days until Winter Solstice – December 21, 2020 at 5:02 am EST. As we experience the sun’s light wane cold in our Northern hemisphere, shine your inner flame.

The Light of the Lotus of your Heart

For the coming cycle, meditate by gazing far into the light of the lotus of the hearts.

As any wise teachers would advise us ~ Be sure to keep inspired, draw on love, hope & keep your inner light kindled. This is especially important during these next few weeks of darkness. As I’m told, the cosmos is mixing up a pretty potent astrological stew with the upcoming eclipses.

Given this month anticipated & interesting shifts, it is my wish that your experience an abundance of light, much love and great health. May we know victory over darkness!

Immunity & Emotions ~ Equanimity & Metta

How You Talk to Yourself Matters

It is said, our beliefs create a filter through which we see the world”. To become free of this, we must pay attention to what we say, believe and think! Instead of saying; I can’t”, try saying; I am having difficulty right now”. This way you create space between the present & your beliefs about the present. More often than we realize our attention is focused on what is wrong. We cling to difficulties and look for them. Why not celebrate what is right as a conduct of care and find satisfaction in just being, as you are?

Problem is problems will always surface – no one is immune. Blaming ourselves for our problems however, versus taking responsibility is quite different. Who do you blame for your problems? How does that affect my immunity?

I’ve often shared that learning from our experiences is what it’s all about. It’s not about getting it right! Our life really is about learning, all the time, and when we realize it we will (hopefully) reduce self-judgment, suffering and so that with the ‘learning’ we achieve more joy and happiness. So pay attention to your words and self-dialogue. Trust me, to filter thoughts takes effort – I’ve spent decades practicing at taming the mind.

Emotions Change Our Tissues

Pranayama Exercises

Emotional toxins are said to be the 3rd biggest factor to damaging our health, after food and environmental toxins. Evidence shows, the heart sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart. This is significant…on our brain function for emotional processing, and perceptive faculties as our attention span, memories, and problem solving abilities.

So why not engage in positive emotions and breath better?

Fact is emotions run through our whole body – every molecule, via our hormones & all neurotransmitters. They impact our brain and our brain changes our hormones. Everything we experience comes via our senses – eyes (seeing), ears (hearing), tongue (tasting), body (touching), nose (smelling), mind (thinking). The Sanskrit root word for ‘Man’ is Manas, meaning thinking stuff. J

Science has proven our guts have hormone receptors like our brain does; hence the gut is often called our “second brain. Since digestive health influences our overall physical and our mental health, it stand to reason our conversation between our gut hormones, digestive bile acid and the brain all play an important role in our pranic energy life-force.

Think Well & Be Well

Our beliefs become our biology”. Beliefs not only shape how we perceive life, it filters our emotions, engages our thoughts, our actions, how we reaction or response, and then formulates our physiology. Powerful yes? Did you know that most of our beliefs were formed when we were children? Taking charge of the loop of past beliefs, like a muffled loop of recording, must be re-examined – so we can remove what beliefs no longer serves us.

It is said our daily thoughts (6,000 to 7,000/day) set up an electromagnetic field around us with every cell attracting our vibratory parallel. The law of attraction states; “like attracts like.” This means people with low frequency (negativity) – people who are insecure and self-abandoning attract each other, while people with a high self-esteem frequency who love and value themselves also attract each other.

Emotions Emit Prana – Energy (Chi) & Matter

Energy vibrates and moves, when energy moves at slower vibrations, matter becomes denser, heavier. When energy is light – vibrant, it is fluid – flows to merge easier, we feel buoyant! Holding a particular vibrational energy pattern long enough impacts us. Emotions felt long enough often result in becoming “issues in our tissues”. Hence, the physical manifestation of dis-ease is often the (last) trumpet call of the Soul.

Energy is Everywhere

Thinking the same thing(s) over & over eventually become solidified or cements in our structure. Stuff like: “I’m not good enough” “no one understands me” “What a great day” “I am happy to be alive and well”. Our thoughts form neurological wiring so vivid, it eventually believes itself.  As such, we need to clear the clutter with specific re-wiring exercises to help us. Practices like meditation, contemplation or journaling, render the shackled mind free.

Facts show our emotions and thoughts accompany a chemical reactions in our bodies. The emotional reactions are thus umpired by cell membranes, which have actual “brains” of each cell. Let us then learn to appreciate ourselves as a system to transmit renewable energy.

Views, Perceptions & Body

Beliefs, convictions and related emotions pave the way to progress or regress. And seeing this isn’t a one-way stream, we can use our biology to affect our beliefs. This is what I have learned through the ancient wisdom of Yoga these past 30 years. By devoting time to condition the body, with breath and movement, we can initiate gradual changes to transform body, mind & psyche.

The shadow side of beliefs “self-sabotage” is our enemy. Why not move toward evolving as a human being & become empowered, with less rigidity?  The Buddha taught; “to attain liberation we must practice begin Wholesome” in our view of life. Wholesomeness is developed by loving-intention speech, action, livelihood, effort, mindfulness and concentration. If the roots of the mind are always under the influence of one state or another (e.g.: generosity; greed; love; hatred; wisdom; delusion), what is influencing your right now?

Yogis, Avatars & Sages throughout history understood that by surrendering to emotions as they arise, releases the tides of suffering. The truth is; it is nobler to let go, hence allowing us to reclaim our energy, so we can journey back to our true nature.

Truth be told…we will no doubt experience change throughout our lifetime, no matter our good intention or actions. Be it pleasure or pain, gain or loss, praise or blame, fame or disfavour, the polarities are real. Classically, mind-hindrances (desires, clinging; cravings, aversion, anger, hatred, sleepiness, sloth, restlessness and doubt) prevent us from experiencing meditative peace. It is understood that we feel everything through one of three tones: pleasant, unpleasant, or neutral. Yet, suffering will be ever-present, whether it is suffering pain, suffering change or the suffering of conditionality – attachments. Ethically, refrain from clouding the mind with intoxicating thoughts, false, harsh or idle speech — the ancients have warned us.

Yoga Chanting, Meditation, Asana

Attend to your bodies – like a healing balm with proper exercise, move your Temple. Use methods like Chi Gong & Yoga to prepare the body, mind and emotions so you can take up our seats comfortably – in meditation. We often give up, if we become uncomfortable. Why? First recognize that you may not be quite ready and return to our asana exercises (flex the legs, shoulders, back, hands, tongue, eyes and head), so our seated posture can better support us.

Sending loving-kind thoughts to others & ourselves helps ease our suffering. This is known in as Metta! [Maitrī Sanskrit;Pali: mettā] It means; benevolence, loving-kindness, friendliness, goodwill, & active interest in others. … Chanting practices often integrate Metta as ‘compassion meditation’. The four Buddhist “best practices” called the Brahma-Viharas – are meditative virtues can can reflect on mindful to attain enlightenment. They are Loving Kindness; Compassion; Joy; and Equanimity (calm composure).

Others Remedies to Calm Emotions and Mind

Rest & digest (aka “tend and befriend”) is a form of activating of our autonomic nervous system to calm us down. It gets us out of our heads and into the awareness of our bodies. This engages our parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS). “The PSNS conserves energy as it slows the heart rate, increases intestinal & glandular (immunity boosting) activity, and induces relaxation to the sphincter muscles in the gastrointestinal tract.”

The ideal way to initiate the PSNS is to integrate meditative awareness practices, to activate the Vagus Nerve. Primarily, the vagus nerve is the longest nerve in the body which originates in the brain as cranial nerve ten, travels down the from the neck, then passes around the digestive system, liver, spleen, pancreas, heart and lungs. This nerve is a major player in the parasympathetic nervous system, which is the ‘rest and digest’ part (opposite to the sympathetic nervous system – ‘fight or flight’). We can greatly influence inflammation and the immune system by deliberately engaging in Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and other divisions of yoga such as meditation.

The tone of the vagus nerve is key to activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Vagal tone is measured by tracking your heart rate alongside your breathing rate. The heart rate speeds up a little when you breathe in, and slows down a slightly when you breathe out. The bigger the difference between the inhalation heart rate and your exhalation heart rate, the higher your vagal tone. Higher vagal tone means that your body can relax faster after stress.

Head to heart, together we can draw on mindfulness practices such as the Brahma-Viharas or “sublime attitudes” – to teach us to cultivate enlightenment in our meditation. These virtues are actually reflections for: 1. Loving Kindness 2. Compassion 3. Joy 4. Equanimity. Brahmas are gods who live in the higher heavens, dwelling in an attitude of unlimited goodwill, unlimited compassion, unlimited empathetic joy, and unlimited equanimity.

All in all, we all want to suffer less and allow healing to reign. Changing our mind – attitudes takes consistent practice & time. (I’ve said it many times) If you want to develop a strong immune system and keep your emotions calm, try to develop any of the practice mentioned, for your own good and the good of everyone.

Socially Speaking

We are social beings who crave connection, yes? This is why having a ‘virtual’ conversation with a friend, a loved one, or sharing time together, eating a warm meal is so welcoming – it heals the soul. Being together, energizes, heals and relaxes us for the “rest and digest system”action.

Socialize to Thrive

Today social distancing and imposed physical distancing is creating a lot of issues for us on many levels. Having less access to each other has set up so much stress and paranoia.

The solution(s)? Take time for yourself. Be it 5-30 minutes daily, commit to care for yourself. Do ‘simple’ Yoga practices (asana) tore-activate our PSNS response and enhance immunity. Remember: practice without expectations or judgement! Every-time you practice, simply ‘practice’, never strive for perfection. Get into your body and out of the mind with gentle breathing and conscious movement.

Try one or more sets. Be realistic in your daily routine – keep all your systems energized:

  1. Begin with simple standing – notice how you feel. Scan your body, eyes closed or in a half gaze. Feel grounded, from your heels to the crown of your skull.
  2. Move gently by swaying side-to-side, back to front. Notice your energy (prana) field.
  3. Allow yourself the freedom to listen to your body’s queues. Maybe it wants to forward bend (a little) or side bend. Try hip circles or twisting the torso – swaying like the wind.
  4. If seated, invite gentle pelvic tilts or circles; Add arm or shoulder movements.
  5. Try creative visualization and focus on what you want for 2 minutes – make it Positive!
  6. If you have a mat – move to the floor. Lie on your back – rest in corpse pose. Or, from tabletop (hands and knees) try some Cat Curl sequences – make it feel good for you.
  7. Listen to or engage in chanting mantras. Get some guidance – Think Metta!
  8. Try equal breathing exercises – relax the belly. Seek help, if you are new to this.
  9. Meditate – Concentrating on Wholesomeness – an action good for attaining liberation.

Now that you know the ‘how ‘s’ to get your head and heart to communicate – understand that in our experiences of the ebb & flow of life we must acknowledge and embrace all emotions. In doing so we will avoid tearing apart the immune system, allowing nasty dis-ease from setting in. Since ‘You are capable of anything’ – why not devote your thoughts to create the causes of your happiness and success and reap the benefits of well-being?

I realize that no matter how unlimited the scope of these positive emotions is, the effect may to run into limits. Regardless of how strong our goodwill or compassion may be, there are bound to be those whose past actions lack skill and cannot or will not change their ways. This is why you need to Cultivate Equanimity (composure) – as our reality check.

Phew, there is a lot we need to unlearn – re-learn. Try not to get upset (respond without reacting) when things don’t seem to go our way. Equanimity, by the way is not a blanket acceptance of things as they are, it is actually a tool to help you develop discernment. Discernment referring to which kinds of suffering you have to accept and which ones you don’t. There is always a choice. Try using equanimity as a means of letting go of what you want to change and focusing more on what can be changed in the present.

In closing…May all beings benefit from our Practice and may we all have healthy Immunity and Blossom Fragrant Souls ! ~ Namaste

Creating & Transformation

A quiet state of mind is the best state of mind, as it allows the higher mind to come through – beyond the ego with focused direction.

The idea of Transformation & Creating your Rhythm of Life toward Light… from the inside out is something we need to consider at this time.

Did you know, the soul loves to meditate? To naturally regenerate your energy throughout your day, try implementing time to do some Meditation; Yoga, Chi Gong – or any kind of spiritual energy practice, for 5-20 minutes.

How you prepare to get your day moving is how you set the rhythm of life, is your general foundation. Most of us rise up & begin with doing things like showering, coffee, filing our minds with news & emails.

But, when we examine & reflect on our usual daily habits, routines (rituals) we engage in we need to ask…. does this lifestyle effectively support your/my intuitive energy? Take on anything new too fast, (think crash diet / crash course) and as you may know, you will eventually fail.

Based on scientific fact, integrating any new patterns into your life, takes 66 days to create effective changes, with simple habits. Those expounding habits are formed within 21-days, I recently learned, is actually myth.

Having an interested in transformation & engaging in such a complex change takes motivation, commitment & a whole lot of discipline. Only then do we see results, and I’ve learned… it does takes time & passion to align for success.

Mostly we would rather resist change & stay in our ‘comfort zones’. However, instead of sabotaging your well-intended efforts realize that it takes patience, (like raising a child) to arrive at a state of alignment. Know that it takes daily practice & conscious transformational processes, driven by a clear mind.

Want to change your game of life?

Need a personal transformation?

Do you hear the call to wake up?

Are you sick & tired of feeling sick (mentally, spiritually & physically)?

What are you allowing to occupy your thoughts?

Can you take this ‘time’ (isolation) to personally become responsible to renew your health, so this pattern (isolation) doesn’t happen again?

Coming together & taking responsibility & stepping into your power (immunity) is what society must try to do to implement higher awareness to get us back into making new habits. Wouldn’t you agree?

Fact is, a quiet state of mind is the best state of mind, as it allows the higher mind to come through – beyond the ego with focused direction.

Meditation is so helpful at reprogramming our minds. It is the best way to have good mental health & to cultivate a calm mind .

Many people from all walks of life have come to me to learn to train their busy mind chatter, at In the Quiet. Few have the patience to sit & commit & try long enough to experience it. Some say; “oh I’ve tried Meditation or Yoga & it doesn’t work”. When I ask how long have they tried, most say a couple of sessions….

There are a lot of faulty programs & false beliefs out there right now. We need to weed through these (half-truths) to shift this mindset inside out. Connect with the truth, experience wellness & be ready to wake up & hear the call.

Right now, the Rev-Olution that is on – is on the Spiritual Plane. The time is ripe, as we are moving out of the mental, from the physical plane. Realize, that we are still infants in the grand Cosmic Evolution of Spirit & there will be growing pains.

Materializing from the physical takes effort & the pollution from the mental is not helping us progress forward. The time & energy we _choose_ to focus on will expand, now is good!

Are you ready to ‘clean up’ the emotional baggage & take the call toward a Spiritually Leap? How then? Part the clouds, lift the veil & find the stillness (meditate) within. Get clear by cleaning your windows (psychologically) & move toward the light by fluffing off the illusions out there. We are Spirits of Transformation!

Om Shanti – Peace

Alchemical Ceremony!

I want to share a message with you….

From a Spiritual context, there is a lot of unrest behind the scenes and the uncertainty is bringing people to prayer & contemplation ~ termed as ‘the dark night of the soul’. (John of the Cross).

The current “Divide & Conquer” design is making us feel uneasy, yes? Cultivate the warrior inside of you.

Right now, the opportunity is greater for us as a ‘collective’ to think outside the box and push out of our comfort zones.  Don’t avoid it, face it.

In these times, we need to understand that an alchemical procedure or transformation of spirit has arisen. Transforming is likened to the caterpillar to a butterfly… it takes going inward to move out renewed fresh with wings. It also takes personal inquiry to shed light on the situation.

The process of inner inquiry (aka, meditation, concentration, silence) helps us to do away with old patterns. When we realize what in our life is not working for us, breakthroughs can occur. Meditation is such a practice where we learn to be still. Contemplation allow us to sift through & clear out what no longer serves us, whether in (repeated) thought, words or deeds, toward clarity. But in order to do so, we must let go and remain contacted, to access divine direction toward greater inner peace.

Want move on to better things and reduce feelings of uncertainty? It is easy.

Permit yourself time to embrace a daily practice (5-30 mins.) to go inward & be silent.  Do nothing….!

Sit in a quiet & comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. If necessary, set a timer &/or light a small candle. Close your eyes or keep your gaze softly open, breathe & relax.

Ask yourself:

How can I better use my time to conquer fear?

What does this fear really mean?

What are the solutions?

How can I contribute – to be part of the solution?

Use this exercise to assist you to transform your fears. Let it energize you with courage so you become bigger than your fear(s) onto better things.

Moving forward and to support forging ahead, you and I have the opportunity to bring the Light to the dark & shadowy areas we harbour.

In order to conquer fear, face it & by doing so you will develop the courage to look at fear in the eye and know it has no power over you.

Let’s get through this, as a Collective, so that on the other side of this we emerge with our wings – free from fear.

Om Namaste.

Immunity to Quiet the Spirit

Quiet your Emotions to increase your Immunity.

Did you know there is such thing as Spiritual Immunity?

Focus on breathing & bring yourself back to your true essence of calm.

Pranayama – Energy breathing exercises for immunity.

We all (should) know how our thoughts can affect things & create a cascade of activity within our body.  Now is a great time to shift from negative thinking to positive thinking.

The mind-body link is so very important for our wellness but if we focus on the present drama & get hooked into it, then it will constantly be driving the mind perhaps to madness.

This kind of impact reduces our immune system – simply known as stress! Why run on the hamster wheel of negativity?

Shifting thoughts to – ‘What can I be grateful for?’ is a quick & easy exercise to shift the mind & embrace a healthy outlook.  Look, see & find the smallest things in your life you can be grateful for. Acknowledge what is going right….right? Recognizing the subtle small thing, triggers our ‘YES’ response – to acknowledge the ‘things’ that are going well! So be sure to inquire honestly and drop the mask(s).

Integral to Wholeness.

Future projecting will not help us in this time, nor is it productive to mourn the past. Be fully present to empty out, deal with & complete any unfinished business with yourself. This is a good time to clear the slate & avoid rehashing the same old patterns. Get back to zero when you can. Some of us are still working, so when you have 5-10-30 minutes do nothing but rest, on your back, or relax & sit alone. Take your time & eat consciously at every meal. Daily get up at a regular time & move your bodies, meditate, meditate, meditate, then go to sleep & keep that time regular as well. (eg; up at 6am, asleep by 10pm) Routines are good for us, we are creature of rituals, aka habits.

Realize that everything we do & every thought _is_ significant, though we may not realize it.   Open up the doors of perception to greater potential & when you do ride the positive waves. Remember the saying: “What we think about most of the time comes about”. Become a Master of your inner dialogue & be part of the solution.  The ancient yogic Sages taught: “What we focus on expands”. What do you want to grow?

Sadly, many people are drowning in fear & panic, at this time.  However, many people were drowning in fear and panic even before this event. We need to choose not to contribute to it any longer – the choice is yours.

What humanity – our world – needs now is a Collective Consciousness to maintain greater balance, more peace, more hope, more gratitude, a greater sense of acceptance, coherence & positivity from our inner being toward the greater good.   “What the world need now, is love sweet love”

Meditation is a huge tool to bring that quietness to our minds.

Be Still – Concentrate

Stress, biologically is hard on our immune system.  To put it simply, our amygdala & the brainstem produce cortisol, then the stress hormone affects our digestive system, etc. If our gut to brain communication is negatively affected then we produce less serotonin & eventually get depressed. The result is an ever lower immune system. To have a good strong immune system, we need to reduce stress. To increase our physical & spiritual immunity be careful to watch what is hooking you…..on the media roller coaster. Unplug & disengage by coming to a place to quiet your emotions & settle down your central nervous system. This too shall pass.

What is hooking you?

Thinking on a long-term basis, make the subtle changes now in your life to harness your inner power for wellbeing & turn on your spiritual immunity.  Ask yourselves: “Who Am I?” , then arriving at “Know thyself” – a Greek aphorism; come to know who really you are… beyond your roles…. beyond the masks you wear in this life. Avoid trying to rehearse your future, for now!

Spiritual Immunity

This experience will one day seem to be a just blink of the eye. This time – is real & it is just a small blip compared to our cosmic existence.  Not saying it is not happening, of course….

Yoga & Ayurveda teaches that we are not just this physical body. There are many layers to ourselves, & these layers or Kosha, (which I teach especially in the Primordial Sound Meditation Course,) helps us understand who we are.

We are infinite & our potentially able to create more power.

The Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga:

  1. Law of Pure Potentiality
  2. Law of Giving and Receiving
  3. Law of Karma
  4. Law of Least Effort
  5. Law of Intention and Desire
  6. Law of Detachment
  7. Law of Dharma

Tat Tvam Asi,” meaning: “I am that, you are that, all this is that, & that’s all there is.”

A Heart for Yoga?

Yoga at the Heart of it

I’ve been asked a few times: “Why do you & other people do YOGA?

Most people come to experience yoga with a mindset of becoming more flexibility. Others reasons, stress relief, health & physical fitness. (all good) This is how I started.

In my experience & over time, a large percentage of people grow into the ‘practice’, eventually having a change of heart for continuing with Yoga.

The reason for the Shift? To cultivate Spirituality & Self-actualization.  Developing spiritually becomes the theme & with that a sense of fulfilling our potential begins to bloom.

Yoga, in all it forms, nurtures the shift as it engages in self-reflection, the practice of kindness, self-compassion, & growth toward greater awareness, to name a few.

The health benefits of Yoga, well they are very real, my friends.  With time yoga can increase flexibility, improve balance & lower blood pressure, decrease cholesterol, stress hormones, depression & anxiety, etc.

Our brains & bodies like to learn new things. Yoga is best at providing healthy creative-interaction ways to keep our brain young – firing up new pathways. Yoga helps the brain grow, like the thousand petal lotus.

As a result, the ‘practice of yoga’ becomes so blissful that the benefits actually ripple out – into Oneness. Our true essential-self experiences more joy & happiness, so everyone benefits.  Yoga encourages us to feel good, as we seek to be comfortable & still in the posture, breathing, relaxing. Modifying (using as many props as you need) also helps keep us in the comfort zone – think breath-body connection.

Yoga’s aim is to transcend (above and independent of the universe, time, space etc.) all things.

Aligning our True Self, Transcends all Things

When people explain to me how they want to try yoga but aren’t “flexible enough,” I tell them yoga isn’t about attaining the perfect pose – oh & head stands are not what we all strive for…..  Becoming friends with your body, as your friend, is key.

Yoga asana practice draws us into present awareness, being you in the moment sometime with movement, sometimes in stillness – here & simply now. Presence brings us to become genuinely our true self & genuine with other people & in our community around us.

A Sanctuary of Inner Peace

Yoga will change your heart – not just blood pressure. Yes, in more ways than I could have ever imagined, Yoga changed my life & my heart, for the better.

Let Love Live

CONNECTED BUT NOT CONTACTED

From an early age, we are taught independence. And, as social beings we are forced into self-reliance, mostly due to North American cultural pressure.

We are responsible for each other” someone once told me, and this was not just some philosophical babble my friend reiterated. I ponder this statement from time to time.

Modernized broadcasting “we are not_enough” is constantly bombarding our civilization. Maybe it is meant to deceive us to buy more, but it also generates a kind of dissatisfaction with our human interactions – fully  baseless. Sad to say, but our ‘On-Demand’ economy is paralyzing one-on-one relations.

In 2007, at my insistence, my husband & flew to Las Vegas to see the theatrical production of  ‘Love – The Beatles’ musical by Cirque de Soleil.  The shows storyline was magical and most impressionable was the performance of Eleanor Rigby; with the anthem…. “Ah, look at all the lonely people”.  We left in astonishment, full of Love & wonder. However, just outside The Mirage Hotel, I could see all sorts of ‘lonely people’.

For some time I’ve been contemplating just how lonely society is honestly becoming. No matter what challenges people face, the underlying truth is most people are lonely and have emotional pain because of it.  The disconnection of not being in contact conjures up being abandoned or excluded.  Belonging, as members of society, is not just good for us but a necessity for life.

Scientifically, we know our immune systems and response to physical, psychological and emotional stress is fine-tuned by human exchange, and such interactions are necessary.

So why are so we rigidly standing alone, creating solitary confinement bubbles for ourselves?  What is going to make us psychologically healthy is not achieved by avoiding each other and our emotional states. How many of us obsess over exposing ourselves to ‘normal boundaries’, we set with dread, attempting to be shielded by the seemingly weak or ‘sensitive’ nature of others?   There is no shame in needing people; the bridges we build today will continue to support our health and each other!

One solution is to seek comfort in conscious gatherings. Take time for a coffee or lunch, together. Fewer people join clubs anymore, so why not take classes and make an effort to spend quality time to know thyself & be with others.

I believe the bedrock of humanity is in our connections to each other. And these days, we seem to value achievement more than relationships in pursuit of success.

Devices are distracting enough, right? They boost the impression we are ‘too busy’ for anything else.  Left to our own devices (literally) we will suffer more, confused by the fantasy, like a hallucination. All the machinery, gadgets, accessories, mechanism, will only satisfy for as long as the stream of entertainment allows. What this convenience appears to be doing is making us forget what we know about life.  And that being in community, sitting together, conversing, enjoying a meal, sharing in our human heritage is our birthright.

Sure scientific advances in technology do a lot for us, but does that mean that we should roll over & permit it to take over?  If all this technology continues to leads to more isolation, greater loneliness will abide and people will not know whom they can turn to for help. Can life be lived without a purpose, or a feeling that we are not needed or valued? Not so.

There are actual places that thrive and bring people together. Agree to become a part of something outside the ‘bubble of isolation’ and come to ‘know thyself’ better. Avoid the working-class struggle to stagnate. Say hello to your neighbors and all passerby’s.

To repair the structure of society, we need to make contact with people in the flesh.  Redirect the erosion of endless hours of distractions; quest to work for our wealth-being of those you love and would love to know. We can all switch off the malaise of loneliness by getting to know someone better.

Stay in contact and Let Love Live.

Sychronicity

Synchronicity and creating awareness.

The Mirriam Webster dictionary defines synchronicity as:

“the coincidental occurrence of events and especially psychic events (such as similar thoughts in widely separated persons or a mental image of an unexpected event before it happens) that seem related but are not explained by conventional mechanisms of causality —used especially in the psychology of C. G. Jung

Synchronicity, however to me is likened to the Shakti energy, mysterious! Because the mindset we transmit out, like a boomerang returns to us. Sometimes with surprisingly meaningful and deemed coincidental results pop up. This sensory perception we humans are all wired with and therefore we are interconnected. True or false?

Some teach, that as humans we are split between two worlds: The 1st; the world of space & time, cause & effect, energy & matter; 2nd is the world of history & the future, stories & meanings, memories & hopes.

The 1st can be described as measurable and sometimes predictable – a way to analyze our deep past, in addition a view into the projected future.

The second is like a woven tapestry like threads of experiences mapping out a masterpiece What events and influences we relate to most , we often allow to become our ‘story’.

Luck may not have a thing to do with synchronicity because luck is simply a force of good, like good opportunities, good encounters, circumstances or events.

Mindfulness practices, like meditation help us to sharpen our focus and be aware of the ‘coincidences’ All it takes is time In The Quiet and just observe our thoughts being present as thoughts float while meditating.

Having an inner meditation ‘practice’ assists us to resolve, dissolve and allow us to be & receiving. Being is a feature of the brain to release, let go and get into the Gap – that space between our thoughts. Similarly, we can tune in to the radar for clarity from the cosmic mind.

In this way, looking for synchronicity we should emit positive thoughts so our life story merges and unfolds with positive purpose. Why not ‘tune-in’ to stillness & discover what the world is offering for the betterment of mankind, for example? Becoming aware and paying attention, with effortless ease, our inner eyes & ears can calibrate to the global dharma, even amid the chaos of life.

Positive and negative events happen all the time, agreed? No one is immune & ‘luck’ is simply a phenomenon. The best way to create your own ‘luck’?  Be present, remain awake & aware. Know Yourself & let the synchronization take affect in your meditation practice.  Will you join me someday? 🙂

Body of Light

The Harvest moon is in full bloom today and it is time to celebrate under the skies glow. Fell how it pulls your focus on your commitments to others. What have you or are you building together, through dreaming and doing?  Reflecting, what has recently come through within your most important relationships, leaving a long-lasting impact on you, and them?

Do not underestimate how this is a time of heightened sensitivity and power. As this Full moon becomes a gateway to radical change – should you need it – allow the pulse of the prana (life-force) to flow.  Just be sure to be gentle and tender with your heart and from the drama – which may be drawing your attention.

Be prepared and be sure to find balance as you take deeper leaps of faith into the Divine.  Seek clarity in meditation and be sure to physically gather together (Satsang) with like-minded souls, to ‘practice’. The practice never lets you down, as it has a way to prepare you to gain insight and clear direction. Trust how nothing is ever wasted (think composting) – think about the process of abundance and let the rest take care of itself.

Become the Body of Light you long for, make peace & let go.

Love, Light Wisdom, Aum Shreem

What really matters?

Same

I often ponder questions…. 🙂

What is of interest and relevant to most people, classically is to live in peace, love and harmony. Tapping into our divinity we can awaken to the supernal purpose of how all our past experienced have led to this moment.

Today many cultures are merging and collectively we are attracted to who and what is being shared on the platforms of our lives. It is like a yearning for crossing the abyss and going back to the garden of Eden. For in the end, there is no separation. We may think we are different but like the snowflake we are unique and the same.

What really matters? What is of interest and relevant to most people. Classically we all want to live in peace, love and harmony. No matter where we are, we can gain the wisdom to rightly direct our energy and power. In such a way we can continuously walk the path that directs our life’s work that we devote to higher purpose.

Acquiring the wisdom to direct the energy of our heart takes action (searching) and for most of us critically this involves face-to-face interactions; where we learn from each other.

This Studio ~ the Peaceful Sanctuary @ In the Quiet was designed just for that. Everyone who comes and has been here moves forward from the experience to expand awakening.

I am ever blessed and grateful. This is not just a commercial space, put a place to step into knowing the self and to move with the flowing essence into the great plan of ‘I Am’

May we all have the energy to press on with the Journey.

Pranam ~ Blessings ~ Namaste

Mantra Mind Tools ~ really?

Yes!! Mantra are Tools for Stamina and Healthy Mental Support

What is a Mantra?

Mantra is a mystic sound formula. A sound, syllable, word or phrase endowed with special features, usually drawn from the scriptures in Sanskrit.  I like to teach mantras, because – “Mantra serves as a boat, to take us across the ocean of unconscious”.

Boat across the Ocean

Manas= mind / Tra= transport.

Mantras are tools used to transport the mind.

Beeja mantra, the seed mantras of the Kakras (Chakras) are often taught and recited by Yogic Practitioners. However, there are many more other forms of Mantras and uses. Some include, healing, clearing, and personal (pranava) or Primordial Sound Mantras, of which I am honoured & Certified to deliver.

The vibrational qualities of the spoken and thought processes are indeed sounds; vehicles meant to free us.

Some thoughts, as you well know, can cloud our thinking if they are negative. While thinking what is good clears the fog our minds play tricks on us.  Shutting of negative thinking is not always easy for some. It takes practice. In the same way, negative thinking cannot just be forced shut. As creatures of habit, we must recognize how negative thinking is the absence of thinking about what is good.

Now we all know, if there is darkness, is but the absence of light.

Focusing on the Good an ideal solution and Mantra phrases repeated in meditation are useful in harnessing the good.

Simple phrases like these below can change our resonance and bring us to the light of healing and higher consciousness:

“I love myself.”                                         “I believe in myself.”

“I am connected to others.”                 “I am a good person.”

“I am the universe”.                                “I am whole”.

“I am perfect”.                                           “I am Loving.”

We can change our thinking; the choice is yours, at any given time.

The solution is easier than you might think. You have heard of cure all’s? Meditation and using mantra is the gateway to affirming who we are, it is a proven therapeutic and easy.

Try this simple meditation technique:

  • Find a comfortable seated position.
  • Think or write out a phrase (mantra) you would like to infuse in.
  • Set a timer for 2 minutes
  • Close your eyes
  • Breathe gently and slowly from your nose.
  • Smile & gently begin repeating your phrase.
  • With each breath repeat your mantra.
  • At the end of the timer, slowly open your eyes.
  • Reawaken to your relaxed, calm & loving self.

Flood your thinking with good thoughts and you change your view of the world. Whenever you remember, say your mantra or various phrases. Like lifting the shades to let the sunlight in, you can’t help but smile back 🙂

I quote my teacher, Deepak Chopra, MD: “Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It’s a way of entering into the quiet that’s already there – buried under the 50-80,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day.”

Back Care ~ 4 Energy

Most of us are goal oriented people – always envisioning the future. In tonights practice we will bring awareness into our backs in order to receive and reflect, being in the present.

The spine is our central channel for energy, and the secret to meditation is keeping it nurtured, strong and clear. Because the core of your being is your spine, the health of your back is the key to your wellbeing and vitality.

All yoga postures were developed to open and support these channels and keep it supported. Needless to say, like myself, millions of people turn to yoga for self-care of their back today.

Today we will focus on back care, whether yours is tired and sore or your just needing to maintain its suppleness and be pain free.

We open with gentle care somatic movements against the wall. With yoga chairs, we will practice hip openers, and standing postures. On the floor, we will engage in abdominal and back strengthening sequences, then end with a rejuvenating guided relaxation.

R.S.V.P. @ http://inthequiet.ca/ ~ In The Quiet. or Message on FB

Are you feeling exhausted?

Lately, several clients and students in the past 3 months are complaining of feeling exhausted, experiencing vertigo and migraines. On closer inquiry dehydration was most evident, aside from some other matters that required attention.  Granted our winter ❄️ began suddenly and the cold 🥶 is intensely fluctuating. This affects the moisture content of the air around us and our body fluids, including absorption.

In Ayurveda our relationship to water states that our relationship to water is the ‘manifestation of consciousness’. It brings all elemental molecules together because water is a chemical energy.

D(ehydration)

Apparently you can become dehydrated even if you drink a lot of water. This is because when the electrolytes in your body are low, your body works to remove the excess water, a nasty way to get it even with the electrolytes. They call this balance a state of homeostasis.

Additionally it is theorized that migraines themselves can cause dehydration. That is sure to start a vicious cycle if that is the case. Dehydration causes migraines, which further deplete the body of hydration and in turn more migraines occur. No wonder they can last for days as your body struggles to find a balance that is providing the proper hydration.

The fact is water is a universal solvent and exists is the body as plasma, cytoplasm, serum, nasal secretion (yuk), cerebral spinal fluid, urine & sweat. To maintain life, it is essential for the without is our cells could not survive. Considering how vital water truly is to our life, I’m providing some vital tips on Ayurveda’s view for drinking water & staying hydrated all year round. Enjoy & share if you’d like!

1- It is better to drink seated ~ standing disrupts the balance of fluids and may lead to inflamation. Your kidneys pace the filtration process better when seated. Also, Your body is more relaxed while seated and helps the nervous system to digest better.

2- Avoid chugging water all at once. It is better to sip on small amounts and to swallow while taking a breathe or two throughout the day.

3- it is better to drink warm, boiled water or room temperature water.  Cold water puts out our digestive fire and thus decreases proper disgestion, which leads to constipation. Whereas, warm water relieves bloating, promotes weight loss and improves digestion, to name a few benefits.

4- Drink only when you are thirsty. Ayurveda emphasizes this because everyone is different and not all of us can or needs to drink 8-glasses of water a day.  However, it is important to know your cues.  For example, Chewing gum is not a good substitute to measure or satisfy your dry mouth, or a measure for your own drinking system.

5- When to know you are thisty? A good indicator of being parched, are dry cracked lips. Another is the colour is your urine. If it is clear or a light straw colour this is a sign your body is hydrated.

6- First thing on waking drink a glass. For years, having learned from Ayurveda, drinking a glass first thing in the morning helps flush out the intestines and Toni fires the liver. I make a lemon ginger tea after my water to add electrolytes, which is said to get rid of inflammation, the root cause of many diseases.

7- Drink from a vessel made from silver or copper.  Storing water in a copper, silver or glass container is another suggestion from the ‘science of life’, called Ayurveda. Copper has anti-cancer properties, is anti-microbial, and provides antioxidants to the bodies systems. Water has the power to clear free radicals and cools the intestines, reducing inflammation for smoother digestion. I use all three & energize water over night is a glass container with several crystals to revitalize and charge the elements positively. Have silverware, use them (I do daily), drink from them. My latest copper water vessel was gifted by a dear friend & goes with me everywhere. 🧡

Adding to this wisdom…ironically a lack of hydration is related to migraines. So in order to prevent migraines, lemon juice with a pinch of salt is the best. Combine good sea salt and lemon juice, let it dissolve and enjoy. Pink Himalayan or French sea salt is good due to the trace minerals present that also it contains (including magnesium.) Eating salt quickly is proven to raise levels of serotonin. That helps to quell pain and inflammation.

Common symptoms to establish if you are having a migraine:

  • Head throbbing
  • Nausea
  • Halo visual
  • Vomiting
  • Numbness
  • Tingling
  • Dizziness
  • Sensitive to Light, Noise, and Smell (or all at once)
  • Pain that lasts from 2 to 72 hours

E(lectrolytes)

Research what electrolytes are and can do and be forewarned; Gatorade is not a good source!  Electrolytes are minerals in your body with a positive electrical charge, that is why good quality salt is required. The functions of electrolytes are to help carry out some of the biggest processes in your body, mentioned above, as well as supporting nerve function, cardiovascular system, and regulating muscle metabolism.
